I think he might be elegible for the cycle2work scheme so the planet X package looks good. But the Reynolds wheels look fragile- he is 6 2 and 13 stone.
Also like the look of the Cinelli Unico tiagra and I saw that v cheap

Size frame around 59

Any recommendations??

Ribble do an excellent range of bikes that are great value. 13stone shouldn't pose any problems at all.

Good value bikes.. but I couldnt justify spending 800 on a bike with the word 'ribble' on it

Its just not sexy sounding ...De Rosa, Cinelli, Bianchi ...

Lol, but if its performance you want, forget the fance names and go for what is actually the best.

I guess I'm just a sucker for that

What do you think of Cinelli Unica frameset? Its a lovely frame inc bars stem seatpost forks and i have seen the 06 model(same as 07 bar colour) for 500-520

Looking at the exotic italian framesets i realised it is actually CHEAPER to buy separates and self build which i am reasonably able to do. For example a complete Unica with veloce 06(1150-1200), or 07 (1400) with Khamsins or cheap mavics

    If bought separate

    Unica 06
    centaur 06 groupset
    vento 07, tyres, tubes
    fizik arione
    pedals
A higher spec bike for 1050!!

Don't know which is better, this or planet x

Given the frame is 550 quid or so it seems a bargain! Can't fault the tubeset, and looks to be pretty light at 2.7lbs. Maybe try posting in the roadie section too? TBH, I am more of an MTBer lol
