I want to convert an old MTB into a commuting/(going up town shopping) bike.
Obviously I need to change my knobbily tyres and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any good 26" tyres for on-road use.
And whats better? -
a) a U-lock and a cable to secure the wheels and seat, or
b) a U-lock and locking QR skewers
c) something else

Have a look at Continental Sport Contact.
I use a U lock to secure the back wheel and frame to an object, and a good cable lock.0 -
I really like the WTB Slickasaurus tyres. They are quite large volume compared to a lot of commuter tyres (1.5" I think), but they have plenty grip in the wet and are super fast rolling. Cheap as chips too.0
