Tour Winner? - Spoiler
He was 1000-1 on betfair a few days ago. Too good to miss.
Can he win? I know he'll have to work for Rodgers, but if he can get through tomorrow to the rest day on Monday, there's a chance he could still be in yellow for the the final week.
He can climb and time trial.

No. That's like asking if Cancellara could win this year's tour.
and furthermore, you might get flamed as this is basically giving away who won today's stage to anyone who hasn't seen it and is going to watch highlights later.0 -
If he was one million to one right now I still wouldn't be tempted.0

Fair point on the subject. I've changed it now.
I don't think it's the same as asking if Cancellara can win the tour. Gerdermann has all the qualities to win a tour - but maybe not yet.0 -
I suppose in Germany he will be in the press as
the next Ullrich
The boy did good
But he was a bit lucky on the descent of the Colombiere

He is a good rider and in the Procycling Fab 4 for this season, but it does seem to be too soon to talk about him as a contender.0

First German to win a TDF mountain stage since Ulle in 1998, so they may do so. With everything that's happened with Herr Ullrich recently however, I'm not sure if comparing a young rider to him would give the right impression. :P0 -

I spoke to both Aldag and Gerdemann after the stage, Aldag said T-Mobile would not defend the yellow jersey on the stage to Tignes and that Linus is a GC prospect maybe in 2 years, and Linus said he would go back to his job of looking after the team captain Mick Rogers-- Dirk Hofman Motorhomes --0
