FSA Cranks

I guess the answer is that I will need to replace the whole thing.

Anyway whilst riding my MTB the other week towards the end of the ride the crank came off.

The cranks are splined and the 2 allen bolts that fixed the crank to the bottom bracket seemed fairly tight . What had happened was that what secured the crank was a threaded cover that sealed the bottom bracket. This worked it self loose and allowed the crank to ease of the b/b.

Despite a small amount of thread damage to this cover , I managed to tighten everything up and it seemed ok .
I even checked half way through my next ride that it was ok.

Suffice to say I got home and noticed that I had lost the crank cover/bottom bracket cover .

As the bike is now 16 months old from Leisure Lakes and I guess these crank/ bottom bracket covers are not readily available - I presume I am stuffed if I do not want to damage the B/b with dirt and water free to enter.

New cranks is it or does any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Paul

    so what are the cranks?

i guess they are the external bb type.

undo the pinch bolts tigthen the bearing preload bolt and then tighten the pinch bolts.

but either identify the cranks or post a picture or them.

sorry but which V-drive? the range has been arround for a few years and there are many different types, and you can get V drives with Square taper and ISIS and X type bb fittings.

is it this years V-DRIVE MEGAEXO
