Mavic Cross MaxSL wheels - I'm having a problem with the front wheel clicking. Two bike shops have told me it's possibly a metal filing that's come loose inside the wheel. It's a random clicking, sometimes it's worse than othertimes and sometimes it just goes away. I'm told the wheels are structurally sound and that it's a common issue. Problem is it's really ANNOYING! Has anyone else encountered a similar issue, if so is there a fix? I was thinking about the SLRs for next season but I'm a little weary. Curiously one shop told me they've never encountered this problem on the black wheels!
Cheers, Paul.

If its an object in the rim, then you will have to find it. Are the bearings ok?0

The bearings are good I'm told. There doesn't appear to be an easy way to get in to the wheel to find whatevers in there (if anything). One fix that was suggested was filling the rim with a foam sealant of some sort, which would hold the 'filing' in place. This would involve drilling a hole in the the rim as there's no other way in. Seems a bit drastic. I'd be worried about whether this would affect my being able to use them tubless - so far I've been using tubes.Paul Allan0
