    pillock eh?

i'm not the bloke who posted the thread at fault though am i? ;)

WE need a sticky to prevent new folk like doing the same thing again.
if i had any choice over it, i would ban folk who SPOILED races by revealing facts about them in the thread title. but ho hum

Get a grip. I said in the earlier thread, if you're that paranoid about finding out small details like who's in the frickin' breakaway (when you know it's going to be a bunch sprint, so it doesn't even matter) then don't hang around in a cycling forum.

no problem guys. everyday for the next two weeks i will come onto this forum and post the winners name the second the cross the line, in a title thread.

its not much to ask is it to respect others and have some decorum around the forum?

Except nobody has done that, have they? Posting "Bradley Wiggins (spoiler)" is hardly spoiling a result. It could have been about anything.

There's just no need to make such a fuss. The OP is new, he won't do it again. Done with.

yeh, come on give him a break.

We should be encouraging new members not trying to put them off - it was a mistake, a post made in good faith without knowing the "done thing". Putting a "sticky" will not make any difference.

Stating you will announce the winner every day is certainly not showing decorum.

I originally read this last night and decided to ignore it (as I usually do in situations where forum posters show themselves to be of below average IQ) but having slept on it I have decided to reply.
I think Steve you should remember that forums such as this are in place to allow like minded individuals to share a common interest. They are not designed for you to go around insulting people. They serve as a shop window for people who might become interested in cycling, so rubbish like you are posting just puts people off.
Secondly, I find it totally comical that if you don't want to know the result of a cycle race, you decide to spend your afternoons browsing a forum about.....cycle racing. Urrr??? :? It's like a groom hanging around in his bride to be's dressing room before the wedding and being surprised if he sees the dress!
I too saw the post title about BW before I had seen the highlights but it just meant I was interested to see what he had done (won? crashed? retired?) There were still endless possiblities.
So actually, I think that it is you, Steve, who are totally in the wrong with your terrible, abusive (unwanted) attitude, NOT John who was just having a chat about bike racing.
    Rant over.
    Col.
