I'm getting back into riding again and wondered how many people are members of CTC and if they consider it worth joining. It seems a no brainer to me for price, but do people really get benefit from it?

Personally I haven't. I did look at it, but how many insurance policies can a man have?
I just looked at the benefits and thought......
FREE £5m third party insurance .........I'll take my chances. I think I'm over insured as it is
a bi-monthly cycling magazine and weekly email newsletter ....not interested
an invitation to over 1000 cycling events each year .....see thenm in the bike shop, not got time anyway
route and touring information ...not of use.
technical and product advice ...err....the internet!
    cycle-related legal advice ....err....a solicitor!
discounts on many cycling products ...that I probably don't actually need
access to CTC holidays and tours ....not interested

I'm not saying don't, and I'm not saying its not worth it for some people. But I subscribe to three professional bodies, have about 8 different forms of insurance (off the top of my head) and it costs a small fortune each year.......So i didn't join.

    Thats my view only....
    Jas
it looks a bit steep to me.....
