tell me about the weather its been really annoying!!
I saw the forecast for monday just gone and south wales was dry and sunny, and good old brum was overcast and rain, so i thought right off to afan, weather was superb all the way there, cardif was amazingly good weather afan a mere 30 mile ish from cardif and it pished it down, we got there had some lunch and watched the rain come down, and not light heavy rain showers pouring down!!
When the rain eased, we raced the first section of the wall, and then the heavens opened, me and the misus sheltered under the main bridge for an hour then gave up and headed back to the car, got soaked, popped the bikes on the roof and then came home.
Guess what the weather in cardif was still amazingly sunny, was so annoyed a wasted day!!0 -
That'll be my fault. Cause i got a long summer it ahs to be rubbish just to spite me. Sorry
DunkSoon to be updated!!!0 -
can't yousign up to summer school or something???
got a point though... this is effing ridiculous!!! even when it bloody stops its gonna take a month or the bog that i call my local trail to dry out... it was so dusty and good!!! no fair!
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
i guess we will have to find dunk something constructive to do!!
but he could just get a job!!!0 -
Ha constructive. I have tried and i don't work

Genious!!! i remember when i was on long summer, work guarantees sunshine... Dunk, Job, Now!!!
It needs to be something where you can look out of the window and be taunted by how nice it is...
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
I've given up, and now cheer when I hear the forcasters say"we cant see and end to this type of weather...." YEY!!!!!! MORE RAIN!!!!!!
Gotta just accept it and ride, I got drowned on the way home from work. But it was fun!0 -
it has literally rained all day here... i'm supposed to be going to a BBQ tomorrow...
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0

According to the "trusty" BBC 5 day forecast it's gonna be a sunny day here in Rugby tomorrow

I predict it's going to be the most glorious day tomorrow in Leeds now that you can't get out! But it will be pi$$ing it down everywhere else no doubt!! :?
You got your new frame then?0 -
no, by a curious coincidence i had just bought a meta 5 when the avalanche died...
otherwise i'd be truly beside myself.
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
Meta 5! Where are the pics then??
Did you say the Avalanche is a warranty job??0 -
he-he As soon as its respectably muddy and it gets the Pikes (has recons off the GT at the mo while i sell the Foxes)
yeah warranty hopefully, but they don't make the superlight hydroformed kenesis Avalanche frame anymore, so its gonna be Zasker team frame, which is nice, but i'm not sure i'm a zasker kind of guy...but i'll give it a shot.
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
-
He he! no they only want to give me a 2006... still, beggers can't be...
i do need to get the meta to the lakes or ideally Penmachno pretty damn soon though...
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
I'm off to the lakes on Tuesday for the first time. Starting in Staveley (sp?). Not tried the Zaskar but it looks nice. I'm sure the geometry can't be that different....0
-
longer and lower at the front, racier i think... i'll have to put the forks down to 100mm as well
there's some ace trails SW of ambleside, and Grizedales ok, 2nd half is quite good in fact
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
yeah i never ot to do that climb on my avalanche which was a great climbing machine, and it wasn't doable (for me) on a 4500 with judys...
I hope they add to it, when i was there last years still loads of fire road, it has really potential...
I ride cos i like it and I'll ride where i like.
0 -
Weather is crazy at the moment. Was up at Fort William Wednesday - Friday, lovely weather 20 degree sunshine, no rain. Come back down to Edinburgh, greeted by non-stop rain since i've got home. Oh well, time to look out the waterproofs again.0
