hello i mainly ride road but have decided to have a go at some light mtb riding, i have a spesh hardrock frame and most of the biuts i need to finish the bike but am in a bit of a mess as far as forks go. the frame is steel with a 1" headtube i have a choice of a whole bunch of rigid forks and a couple of sus forks mostly zoom cheepies and one suntour mrx6000 any advice? i want it to be a cheap build just to give me a taste, if all goes well (and i get a job) i will shell out for a whole new bike (poss a 29er) but for now i just want to get onto some trails
Thanks Cf

Pace and Zocchi forks can be got with 1inch steereres, but may be out of the budget you are looking at. I take it you mean 1 inch steerer required, threaded. I'd stick with rigid to be honest, cheap forks will add weight, flex and have no damping.0
