M4 rotor with a Mini caliper?

Would it work? Are the braking surfaces different?

    as long as they are desgined for the same size. ie not a old M4 rotor and new mini.

    the braking track is not as wide so you will have less power and you will feel the spokes as they pass through the caliper and the spokes will also wear the pads down faster where they rub causing the pistons not to push straight. but it will work. for a while.

    get the right disc for the caliper.

    It'll work, but it's an interim solution more than actually compatible.
