I'm looking for new tyres for my xc bike. I want something that rolls fast but can still grip especially in corners. The trails I ride are a mixture of fireroad, hardpack and loose soil with occaisional wet roots and rocks. Preferabe size 2.1. Can anyone recommend a trye?

A good 'all round' tyre is the Panaracer Fire XC - some will disagree but it's all down to personal preference/experience

The Cinders grip better, but the Fire XCs roll faster.

I generally go for Fire XCs when it's dry and Cinders when it's not.

I have the Fire XC Sports and they work very well, roll fast and very grippy offroad even in wet or dry ( i can vouch for that, ive climbed some very steep hills in the wet with them )
