Commencal measurements

Getting me an 08 meta 5.5 VIP, and am starting to buy a few bits and bobs for it when i find it cheap.
But could those who already have an 07 (guessing the 08 will be pretty similiar) or have a linky to a site which has the information, let me know of a few measurements and what size stuff to get.

Firstly headset size - getting a chris king, guessing ill need a 1-1/8 inch, correct?

Secondly, what size steerer will my forks need? minimum incase i buy second hand.

I am pretty sure the 08 model has the standard headtube, so would be a 1 +a/8th inch headset. What length steerer also depends on the stack height of headset used, and your stem. Email Commencal?

How did you wangle an '08 frameset already?

Does it have the new swingarm then?

1 1/8th is the fork size, but if you are buying 2md hand from Fleabay I would play it safe and only buy forks which have not been chopped.

I'm holding out for the 666....

Havent actually paid for it yet or recieved it, just made a few emails to ensure i get one when they come out. I like the look of the 666 too, unfortunately the meta 5 doesnt come in that green colour. And i dont need 6 inchs of rear travel either....

Fair play, so like me you are waiting till the end of August and buying bits up in advance?

I am also gutted that you can't get the framesets in the Team Green colour....only complete bikes for that one ( got a spare £4k? )

I thought the 5.5 VIP 2008 comes in white with green flashes? Am i wrong?
Its the off the shelf bikes that come in the black with gold green and blue flashes isn't it.
