Help, I need a wheel!

Having smashed my rear wheel AGAIN i have been told by my lbs that i should probably buy a new one. Unfortunately i am very new at the whole wheel thing.
Budget of £40 (very little i know but it would cost me a tenner to fix the wheel but the problem would just occur again and again)
I ride a mixture of XC and light DH and DJ.
Would shimano deore hubs and some dh rims work or am i best to try and buy an entire wheel set?
If my last wheel was a Q/R one but would a 10mm bolted wheel work in my frame?
Sorry for the noobish post,
Jack

what frame?!
and yes £40 is pretty small, what rims are you thinking of, Mavic 3... rims are the best check out - www.chainreactioncycles.comWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The frame is a bit of an enigma, it has identiti stickers on it so it may be an old Dr. Jekyll but equally it may be another jump bike of the same calibre!
I was thinking maybe ebay would be the way to go, but i dont want to buy a wheel that will break again.
Cheers

Emerlin have some great deals on. Deore are tough hubs, albeit need servicing regularly. Build is important, and merlin make superb wheels. Deore or 475 on EN721 or EX321 would be a good choice.0
