Tyax Super 06 / Sram PG830 Cassette-Sprocket problem ?

Hi Guys,
First post over here - didn't realise WMB had gone !
I picked up a Tyax Super 06 mid April - it has a SRAM PG830 sprocket - not too sure who maks the hub ?
I try to get out a couple of times a week and it has been cleaned and lubed regularly during this time.
No problems until Monday evening when coming down back off a tour on the bridelways on the local moors I ended up with no "drive" after free wheeling down the road. Thought the chain must have come off somehow - but no just no drive on the rear cassette !
I managed to free wheel / walk to the nearest station and catch a train home.
Washed, de-greased and lubed it seemed to be OK again with the drive on the cassette although the rear bearing seems more noisy when in free wheelthat it did and the “ratchet” sound doesn’t seem as distinct as it should. Taking the wheel off though the sprocket assembly has a slight slackness to it with a little bit of movement on the hub. I can’t really tell if its the sprocket assembly on the hub or the whole unit.
I can’t get back the shop it came from until later next week and I don’t have a proper sprocket locking nut tool to remove it and give it the once over – just wondered if any of you could give any insight as to the problem ?
Should I just ask for it to be changed or is it something I should expect to happen in time ?
Thanks in advance for any input.
FF.

Its not something that should happen. It sounds like the freehub is not engaging correctly, and should be replaced.0

I had this on my Tyax a month ago. The cassette wasnt engaging at all, so the free hub got replaced at the shop.
The problem came and went and finally died luckily when I was at the top of the hill. gutted as i was all ready for a nice long ride and only got half a mile from home...0 -

Thanks for the repies - apologies for the late response !
Dropped it off last week with the LBS I got it from - they had to wait for a hub to come in (from Hotwheels ?) but swapped under warranty and picked up today no problem. "Sounds" more like it should so just need to get out again.
Cheers

Well after a closer look this evening in the garage I'm not quite as pleased with the service as I was !
The first perhaps a little "fussy" in so much as the quick release lever/shaft and nut are not the original ones but the rear wheel now has a few mm sideways defelection. The hub has certainly been replaced and the sprocket is tight on the hub but there is some play on the cassette hub/wheel hub
