A buddy of mine has some old '95 XT Canti's...I've recommended he come out of the dark ages and possibly get some V's

However, will newer V brake's, say newish XT's (the actual canti's) work with his old XT levers? I'm not sure if the pull length is different?...

Ta people!

the amount of cable pulled is different between the cantis and the V's.

V pull more. Yes it posible to make them "work" but the brake lever will be just about at the bar and there is very little modulation.

I suspected that was the case from messing with them years ago.

No probs, thanks for the reply!
