I am off to Fort William tonight, the question is do I take the Patriot or the Club Roost? I really can't decide..

Patriot. That way when you break your neck on the DH you'll at least know that the bike's ok.

This is true, can always lug it round the xc too I suppose. Neck breakage should hopefully be kept to a minimum.. probably inevitable though.
