Gave up trying to do Rubiks Cube without help. There is a book or should I say there was a book showing how to do it by a professor of mathematics at the University in Newcastle. Even with the bookI I struggled Sorted it in the end. These things caused matrimonial strife at the time they came out. My pal and I had a challenge to see who could do it first. His better half ended up hiding it away as the gardening was being ignored in the quest for a solution.
My cube, I still have the original has lain undisturbed for a long long time.......................forget it forget it.0 -

i tried doing one ages ago but got so angry i smashed it up and then rebuilt it in the correct pattern - so not really completed but finished lolHardtails aren't called hardcore for no reason

Back to the OP - I recently bought a cube on a nostalgia trip - yes i had one in '81. I'm back to around 40secs from any position but there are some good videos on the web showing 13-15secs completions. Apparently the cube can be completed in just 22 moves from any position!!!Still breathing.....0
