Bullhorn bar cabling

I have bullhorns on my fixie and used an old road lever and the cable came out the side of the lever (ish) and went up and down to the front brake, this was fine, although the brake lever was old and didn't look very good, so I bought one of those aero levers from wiggle. I think they are the ones meant for tri bars.
Anyway, the cable seems to come out along side the bars and wants to route its self along the bar. My bars are really narrow, though, so this means there is a lot of friction in the cable and it doesn't feel very good.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?
Sorry its explained a bit rubbish, I'll try and upload some pics later.
Cheers

I presume you're talking about reverse-levers, where the lever is held by an expansion plug in the end of the bars rather than using a metal clamp around the outside of the bars. The best solution for convoluted/tight cable runs are Nokon cables - but they are very expensive. Although some bullhorn bars are designed for internal routeing, I find it makes things worse. All I can suggest is make sure that you open-out the brake-outer liner with a pointed tool at both ends, lightly lube the inner with chain lube/grease and don't wrap the outer to the bars around the lower bend - let it exit the bar wrap and make a nice bentle bend to the caliper. Putting the lever on the left also shortens the cable run - reducing friction.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
