Hi, I have been looking at getting a new bike and have been looking at the indian fire trail 07. Does anyone know of any reveiws or own's one?. Really was wondering if it was worth the cash as it is quite expensive or would I be better looking at other bikes in that range. I mainly do cross country and trail riding. :D

Marins top end bikes are good value, so is definitely worth testing out. But there are other options... a custom specced Ti hardtail from Van Nicholas, or carbon framed bikes such as the Scottt Scale and Giant XTC.

The Indian Firetrail is a simply fantastic bike. If i could have afforded it at the time i would have got one but instead i went with the Hawkhill as i was poor. The Marin frames are very well designed , look great and feel very comfortable and agile on the singletrack.

What more can I say apart from the fact THAT THIS BIKE IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

I bought one at the beginning of the year and have enjoyed riding it immensely! its amazingly fast, light (my one is down to about 22lb at the moment (have made modifications - but it is great straight out of the box)

It climbs like a dream, is very tight and handles most things you can through at it. It can be prone to tail whip (but thats probably my riding style)

I have attached a link of my IFT

get one, you wont be disappointed!

I fell in love with the bike in the shop it's a little out of the price range so it will be another month or so til I can get it. I have not been able to read any reviews, most bike mags don't seem to review marin's at all????

Love the pic's cheesey, looks to good to ride.

When do the 08 models come out and is it worth hanging on for a price drop :D

Should be out soon (well to look aty anyway)

They wont change the bike too much as the frames were reengineered/designed this year. You will probably get new kit, although theres not much out there that they could put on it that would improve it (apart from full XTR etc) but that would push the bike over the 2k bracket.

Mine in all has cost me close to £2500 to date - theres nothing else I would change apart from maybe some Mvic Crossmax SLRs - but then I will have a £3k hardtail which to be honest is overkill. But it would sure look nice! :)
