Best full sus bike for £1K

Hi,

What is the best full suspension bike for £1K? I'm planning on testing a Giant Trance 3 and a Specialised FSR XC. Any comments?

For general trail riding and XC? Both bikes you mention are very good, but also check out the trek fuel ex 5 and GT Idrive 5 4.0.

I tried a Saracen Ariel 2 the other week and it was great, good amount of travel in forks (130mm)

The Trek Fuel EX 6 is the best specced bike for a grand, guaranteed.

I own the spesh xc comp, which i would highly recommend. I ride trails ,crosscountry,and some riding in peaks etc and the bike handels all this very well.
however,the xc comp is a little over, a grand at the moment, but with the 08 models coming out later this year prices might drop down under a grand.

Have to agree with ddoogie, very good spec bike for the price.
