-People arn't flagging things and i've got better things to do than trawl through every bloody post and topic moderating it.

-There also seems to be a lot more noobs than on MBUK.

-The white backgorund that burns your eyes.

So flag the topic and we'll sort it.

I second this motion. There needs to be a hint of colour in there, and the posts need breaking up by different shades.

I didn't mean that there were n00bish topics, I was reffering more to the fact that links to other forums have been censored, some people seem to have had their ability to PM removed etc and any topic asking why in the office seems to have been deleted almost instantly.

That would be an admin thing, we can't do anything like that.

However, having seen some of the posts which I imagine have been deleted, they went along these lines.
OP: Hi there, I've identified problem x, just wondering if you guys could sort it?
UKMB member: Oh, they'll never fix that, come over to our forum, it's much better.

It's not the link to the other website which is being objected to, it's the spamming of topics with irrelevant links. If someone asks for an alternative MTB forum, go for it, post away. Don't do it in topics where people don't ask for alternatives.

Wronggggg! I made a topic telling the sandbox about ukmb . org . uk and the response from the admins/mods was to filter the site name. I changed the link, and it happened again. In my mind, that's clearly someone objecting to the site.

    Yeah...

My posts pointing people towards www . ukmb . org . uk have been filtered as well.

Bloody Future Publishing Nazi's. Not that it's going to make much difference... there's more than one way to type a domain name.

And if this keep going on, my way of protesting will probably be to cancel my MBUK magazine subscription.

That's a gross misunderstanding of the practice of freedom of speech.

That's exactly what I thought. Being good at debating is one thing, being a total smart-arse at every possible opportunity just loses you respect. Get over yourself.

No, it's very true and this does tick me off.

There is no basic right to post anything on any forum. There is a basic right to moderate the forum, removing posts for /any/ reason whatsoever - it is decent to only remove them according to some set of rules, but it is not a violation of anyone's free speech to delete a post just because it mentioned something the moderator didn't like, or to ban a user just because they support Arsenal.

And, occasionally, I get a little irritated at being called a nazi khmer-rouge member who loves going round putting down people's freedom of speech when all I'm doing is moderating.

I don't do this at every opportunity, but I do it when I get a little tired of hearing it.

Come on, if you want to argue at least address the real issues and not what someone believes is free speech.

There's not a lot of 'real issues' I can address. I keep repeating myself in response to the ex-MBUK members who want to come on here and complain, but since their aim is just to complain, not to reconcile or even improve the forum, it's not very worthwhile. So for the most part I'll just be locking threads.
I cannot make promises or offers about what will and wont happen on here because I haven't a clue.

I can't see why everyone is being such a dick about it. I got very bored of everyone complaining about this forum from the 2nd day it was up. Everyone is just repeating themselves, which is rather stupid.
