Another Beginners Q!

We are looking for a Ladies specific for my partner, It will be a total beginner & the budget is low at £200. We have looked at the Carrera Vulcan (£233) at Halfords, Anyone got any views on these, We have also been recommended looking at a Decathlon bike.

Carrera and Vulcan are the best known manafacturers at that end of the price scale.
I am not in the know about Decathlon models but the Vulcan is a good bike for the price and will be upgradable in the future.

As above, both make very good budget bikes, tick all the boxes. Take a look at the Mongoose Tyax Comp and Giant Yukon/Boulder too.

Thanks for the replies, I have a Gents Tyax Elite & very happy with it, We would look at the Mongoose if we new where to get a Ladies version?

Try mens as well as ladies bike - not all ladies bikes are perfect. You may only have to swap the saddle.
