For the first time ever I found water inside my rims. Noticed it when I was cleaning it. How does it get in? Anybody else had this?

It comes in where the spokes meet the rim and it's perfectly normal.

There isn't space for too much water and it'll evapourate away eventually.

....or you could take off the tyre and tube and maybe even the rim tape ( the latter is a bit dodgy as you may have to replace it) and let the water drip out over night

Just take the tyre off and drain it out of the valve hole. No need to remove the rim tape. Deep section rims are particularly bad for this on flooded roads.
