I have a dynohub, which when it powers the lights interferes with the reading on my wireless spedometer. Anyone else here experienced this, and can this be solved by using a wired speedo?

Move the magnet and sensor to the rim. That should sort it. Put the magnet opposite the valve stem to balance it out so you don't get speed wobbles.

I had a similar thing with my dynohub, but not my wireless computer but the computer of the person I was riding with. They had some rubbish flattery powered lights and I had Solidlights 1203D.

It was his choice. A working computer, or the ability to see where he was going.

I also use the solidlights, which are excellent - face the smae dilemma after dark...

Tried moving closer to the rim, other than the computer not registering at high speeds there was little change, still get interference from the light.

I believe that the shmidt hub dynamo emits magnetic pulses at a specific rate and can be used to replace the magnet on a wired system (dont know about wireless but I cant see why not) I would guess that other hub dynamo's work in a similar way.

You just have to adjust the calibration of your computer accordingly. For example, if the hub pulses 4 times per rev you need to divide the circumference of your wheel by four and input it into your computer. And you need to remove your magnet.

I have never done this but believe it is possible. I am sure a few audaxers know about this.

Can anyone else give more precise details??
