I'd like to buy a fairly cheap but effective waterproof jacket that can be packed down v small and no more than £30-40, any recommendations? Just want something I can whip out and on should weather take a turn when out (ooh errr!).

I recently got a past-season Helly Hansen jacket from evans cycles website. Its great, does the job, waterproof and windproof. As it was past season it was half price £70 down to £35. Also with evanscycles, if you buy from the website and don't like it or it doesn't fit when it arrives then you can take it back to an evans store for a full refund, cash I think. So eveyone's a winner!

I bought a yellow cycling/running jacket in JJB for £8 in a 70% sale. I also bought a sleeveless tank top version for the same price!! Ideal for cycling as they are very bright, might not be the quality of the £40-£60 one's but a fraction of the cost!!!

  • Why would you order something online - then travel all the way to "that" store to get a refund when you can whack it in the post - send it back, and then get an exchange/refund anywhere online these days.

Seems a bit mad to me dude!?!? If i order online, thats where i want all correspondence to stay personally speaking! The petrol money it costs to get to the store for a start is more than whacking the package in the post and letting royal mail do the rest!!!!!

Just an inconvenience i can do without!!!! ;-)
