Ive just had some Reba SL's installed on my giant xtc and im having a bit a trouble following the instruction manual to set my forks up. Has anyone who has some sl's got a simple explanation to set these up?.

How do i know what PSI my forks will be at when i adjust them?

Can the fork be locked without using the pop loc? (i havnt installed it yet). The blue knob turns to lock but just turns back to open when i let go.

Help would be much appreciated as i aint got a clue.

You would need to change the poploc by buying a faffy kit but this would mean a pain in the neck to fit the poploc again. The knob turns back as it is spring loaded for the poploc cable to work. Fit the poploc!

You will need a shock pump to set up the forks correctly and this will have the pressure on it on a small guage. Don't assume the manuals pressures are right as they more than often aren't. Adjust pressures to have the forks however feels best.

as dan said a shock pump is a must. and about 10-20psi less than stated.

no pop lock no compresion adjust or lock out.

most of them come out of the same factory. the main thing to look at is the guage. will you be able to read the presures that you need.
