What chain for singlespeed/BMX crank

I am currently building up a jump bike which has an 11t cog and 30t sprocket (BMX style crank) - what chain would be best for such a purpose. The chain stays are MTB standard 135mm. It is a Static Plan B frame on Halo SAS/geisha hub.

    is the chain wheel and cog 8/9spd compatable or BMX width?

    drop outs vertical or horizontal?

    BMX chain if you can and use a halflink if you need to.

    Looked at the website and it says nothing about being 8/9 speed compatible so am guessing its BMX width

    PS: whats a halflink??
