Has anyone got any experience of these forks, are they any good?

I had the Ronins - fairly close iIthink. They were terrible - virtually impossible to set up right and with a terrible action. The only good point was stiffness. I soon replaced them with RS PIkes which are brilliant. Easy to se up, plush action and reliable. I like Magura brakes but not the forks: avoid.

Ronins not even made by manitou. The Black is getting a bit long in the tooth, old, flexy and not very good.

Got 'em on my Rockhopper pro '05. As supersonic said, a bit naff really for 'serious' MTBing. OK in my opinion for light off-road fire track stuff and the lock-out is still working fine for when I do the commute in the mornings. There are much better forks out there...
  • decided not to go for them and ended up with Pace RC40 Fighter which seem pretty good, goint o give them a good try out this weekend
