swing arm snapped

hi,
recently got a saracen hazzard pro in a swap but was unsure whether i liked it better than my saracen raw 2 , finaly decided that i prefered the hazzard pro then the swing arm snaped where the coil attaches to the swing arm :evil: , in your opinions should i :

a) buy a new swing arm for the hazzard pro?
b)put the raw 2 swing arm on the hazzard pro?
c)use the hazzard pro for parts on a jump bike i am planning to build ?

None.
The cost of a swing arm would be way to much for what it is worth.
The Raw 2 one might mess up the geo etc.
The parts from a hazard pro would not be up for the rigours of jumping

well when i say parts i only mean things like brakes , rear mech , seat e.t.c not forks or crank,

also any idea for how much a weld would be as i dont like to think the bike is now useless especially after i had just that day decided i was going to use it as my main bike!.

Parts like that would be ok I guess.

Getting it welded would be more hassle than its worth, for a one off job like that and with the prep work needed I wouldn't think it would be cheap, unless you know someone whos a good welder.

so the hazzard pro is pretty much buggered then, only usfull for parts?

I'd say so yeah.
You could always try looking for a swing arm on eBay, you never know.

If you could post some some pictures it might help. Are the plates where the shock bolts on the swingarm the only problem? If so you could grab some stainless steel plates and make a new shock mount. After bending the plates in a vice and drilling them and the swingarm correctly so that the holes were in place and that the shock stayed in its original position, you'd just have to bolt the whole thing together. I know I cold do it, but I doubt you have the tools...

update: droped the frame off at a family friends garage who is going to weld it back together . will update with pics tommorow,,(p.s can i put pics on here or do i have to set up a a hosting site?

The hazzard pro is not of the same standard as the Raw2, the latter having a better swingarm. I have a Saracen DTOX, 140mm travel, which is similar to this years Raw with alloy front end and swingarm, and a RS BAR air shock. I am willing to sell it.

what the swing arm or shock as the swing arm situated seems to be sorted out (will find out tommorow) but i do require a shock (see other posts)


p.s how do you edit your bike radar profile?

ok iv worked how to do links for pics but everytime i try to upload it to here it says must be jpeg e.c.t and it is j.peg ? cant see what im doingwrong anyway il start a new topic in different catogry to talk about this to stop this one going any further off topic lol.

unbelivably the raw 2 swingarm hsa snapped now although it is now only at the side so the bike itself is stiull ridable, weld, replace, throw out? .

Anyone think i should just chuck it out, it needs new gear cables and brakes as wwell as the snap , or i could get it welded
