Can anyone comment on the quality of Ribble hand built road wheels? They seem competitively priced, is it a case of getting what you pay for, or are they a good deal?

Thanks

I had a set of Ribble handbuilt wheels once (cheap Veloce on MA3) and they were excellent. Stayed true and stood up to 2 or 3 years of commuting. Seemed fine to me. I'm sure that others will have had different experiences though.
I'm only concerned with looking concerned

They are fine, but if you really want bomb proof, order from Paul Hewitt in Leyland.

Well in my experience it was a case of never getting what you asked for....though to be fair to them they only got the the rims, hubs and number of spokes wrong :?
I'd rather walk than use Shimano

Experiences over the past couple of years with ribble wheels have been OK, I've got a set of Veloce on MA3's that are 7 years old and other than 1 broken spoke, no problems, more recently a set of centaur on open pro have been OK, but maybe rear wheel wasn't destressed properly as I needed LBS to retrue after a few rides.

My experience was a bit mixed. Nice straight wheels, but I had rear spokes failing inside 500 miles, presumably due to over tension when built. Open pros on Veloce.
