I know a lot of you have already been to Morzine / Les Gets this year and years gone by.

The XC trails? is it a case of up the ski-lift and down some nice single track then lift back up? Or do you have to climb in between.

I'm not lazy (well I am, but not that lazy) it's just that we're driving down in about a month and I have two bikes. If it's all gravity based I'll just take my DH bike and use it for both. If it's more up and down I'll have to take my other bike as well and from reading on here the bike-lock-ups aren't the best and we might have to rent a bigger trailer if we all take 2 bikes with us.

Thanks

  • I think the answer is really a bit of both. There are some epic XC routes which use very few lifts and mean a lot of climbing, but then there is plenty to keep you amused if you just want lift assisted descending.

It might be worth checking out the BikeFax book for Morzine and Les Gets as that outlines a large number of options and you can see what's available to you. Given you can take the second bike, you might as well do so and not be limited to one type of riding.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!
