So the suns out, and the last two days have been spent making the most of it. The only downsides are my fitness levels had dropped considerably and I suffered in the latter part of both rides (felt a bit giddy & sick) but the worse thing is being follicley challenged my head has been sun burned in the pattern of the vents of my helmet, & my kids are cracking up cos my head looks like a waffle!
I think I will have to invest in a bandana to wear under my helmet 8)

Yep it's nice to see the trails drying up. I had a nice hack along the SDW in the glorious sun with just enough puddles left to splash some war paint on the bike.
Did have a bit of bazar moment when I was past by 3 huge trails bikes on the bridleway  . Then I lost the trail somehow on the way back to Haywards Heath and discovered a huge pond that I've never seen before-nice stop for a snack.
But the best thing was almost everyone I met today (inc hore riders, walkers family strolls) smiled and said hello :D .

Funnily enough I was along the SDW went from Eastbourne up to Firle Beacon across to Seaford & back through Friston Forest & Jevington. I think taking more for a snack may help with the feeling sick & giddyness, a banana wasn't enough, ate two rounds of cheese & pickle sandwiches as soon as I got back!
It's always good when everyone is nice to each other on the trails :P
