Right I'm having problems with getting my cassette off any help would be good
I have tried for half a day with no joy it feels like it's been welded onto the wheel

get a decent chain whip and a huge adjustable...should come off no probs!
failing that, take it in to your LBS and see if they can help. they may be able to put the tool in a vice to get more leverage.<center>pinkbike</center>0 -

Have you got the lockring off already?
If so, your cogs have probably started eating into your (presumably aluminium) freehub body.
Get two chainwhips. Use one to hold the main cluster of the cogs, and the other to pull the separate rings backwards, until they pop out of their trenches. Then screw the end one back on again, and do the same to get the cluster out (if it's stuck).
You'll probably need a new freehub body.
If not, are you sure you're turning the right way? You should be turning such that, if you didn't have a chainwhip, you'd just be making the wheel freewheel.0
