Hi all, newbie to the site, however not a newbie to Mountain Biking, just been out of the game for a while, well 9 years, so alot has changed since i was last riding.

Anyway looking for something i can give some serious abuse too for off-roading and the odd big jumps, but as i have been away from the game such a long time i need some help, now i have a maximum budget of £2k,

i have seen this, but not sure if this would be suitable

http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=70391

or the Big Hit 3 2007

any help or assitance would be great

Cheers

Matt

    anyone ???
  • I'm having the same problem, tested a few things

I've looked at the Specialised Epic (not enough travel)
    Commencal (okay)
Stumpy (didn't like the riding position)
but finally decided on a Orange 5 Pro as it seems to do everything from trail, XC to DH

what do you need yours for?

Really the same as what you are looking for, Trial, Downhill and X/C.

Have looked at the Orange 5 Pro, looks an awesome piece of kit, and from the reviews i have read it seems to be all it seems as well, well worth the price.

However i also like the Big Hit 3, which is within my price bracket.

look at custom ideas, maybe with a hardtail frame giving you lots of money for parts
