Hi all,
I've recently taken up cycling a cross-training for my primary sport of stillwater rowing.
I aboslutely love cycling and Ive decided to purchase a bike but am in need of some helpful advice as to what type/brand would best suit my purposes.
At the moment im only doing 2-3hr cycles but will eventually end doing 6 hrs cycles at least once a week if not more in order to build endurance.
Im 170cm (5'6 5'7)tall and weight 55kg (121 lbs) if that helps at all?
I cycle both on the flat and through steep hills/valeys so would need gearing that suits both.
Thanks for your time,
Kind Regards,
Heather

Hi Heather, what price are you looking at?

and what is the terrain you ride on like?

I ride on roads (fairly smooth bitchumen surfaces) and am looking to spend no more than $2000 Australian.0

A road bike will suit you purposes ideally. Anybike needs to be tested first, so trip to a good local shop would be my recommendation. Also try posting this in the road section. Specialized Allez is one suggestion.0
