Which bike?

I've just had my bike stolen 'Cannondale Prophet 600'
so i'm looking for a new nike I've tested Specialized Epic, Commencal 5.5.1, Specialised Stumpy, has anyone got any advice.

I do like the Epic the best, but with the 4" travel i'm not yet sold, the type of riding I do is mainly in the lakes and varied, I have a budget of £2000.00 (no more) got to buy the wife a rockhopper of equiv.
