Good Job on the site. Does anyone know if this site plans on adding anything as far as a training log? I am on the lookout for a all inclusive site. Mapmyride has a training log... But, overall I like this site.

Thank you! As you can see, it's still a work in progress, but we've got something that we can build on now. We fully intend on adding things like training logs and more interactive features for you all, but they'll have to wait until we get the basics working.

For suggested improvements how about trimming down the 43 seperate forums or allowing people to customise the view. For example, I'd like to see the road sections but not the MTB ones.

Yes, that is how it is intended to work. And we will keep on the case until it does.

Please turn the brightness down. :?

Can't the pages in the forums be greyed out?
  • Black text on white is not good for a forum

It is certainly improving after a shaky start. And hopefully there are still more improvements to come...?

Plenty of improvements to come, I have plenty I wish to work on in order to increase the usability of the forum (Just a shame PHPBB isn't the most robust forum available). I am working on a better way to filter forums and other such useful features which should make things a lot more enjoyable.

The colour scheme i.e. black text on white is going to remain as that is the identity of Bikeradar as you can see with the rest of the site, however I am working on various ways to reduce the "brightness" with little tricks of the trade, example is now the posts aren't all white, they alternate between white and light grey. Although this is nothing new, the problem with PHPBB is the way its been made the colours set in the different rows also affect the front page of the forums (which i didn;t want to do!) so have had to do various bits of customisation to the backend.

You will see plenty of changes to all aspects of the site in the future as we learn what works and what doesn't.

Can I just say that the 'feel' of this forum is great. Not as cliquey and stand-offish as certain other forums... :)

i totally agree there are other ones that are filled with people who spend their time starting arguments and slagging off other peoples bikes because it's not the way they would have it. everyone is different and have their own views on what they like. i noticed that on this site mostly everyone are real riders and are keen to learn and put forth honest but fare opinions. not slagging off for the sake of it. i say keep the wasters in the other forums and leave the riders in this site. buy the way hello everyone nice to meet you, and for the site admin boys/girls keep up the good work
