Words fail me (almost) If that is Robert Millar, as was, then who really cares? Let him/ her get on with it. It has no bearing what so ever on his success as a cyclist and our ability to enjoy his past triumphs.
I also think that if I was paying a photographer to take pictures of someone, I would want a better result than that grainy cr@p they have published.
I really think that I would struggle to even wipe my @rse on the mail if I had run out of loo roll!

Looks like Satan's Scrapbook is recycling an old story from a few years ago.

Somewhere in either the Race or Pro Talk boards, I believe someone has said that the Robert Millar sex-change story is, in fact, an urban myth.

But posting the link here only helps the Daily Mail further erode his privacy. Now loads of people, who otherwise wouldn't venture into that newspaper, will be copying the URL and sending it on to friends and other forums.

As if anyone really doubted it, here is proof that the Daily Mail really is written by a bunch of utter scum.

With all these stories going around about Robert its no wonder he doesn't want to be found. Why can't they just leave him alone and just remember how good he was on a bike.Good luck Robert wherever you may be.

Sewer journalism. Leave Millar alone. This 'outing' of a private person - one not seeking the spotlight, one doing no harm to anyone, not committing crime, not like politicians, telling the rest of us how to live our lives whilst doing the opposite themselves... it stinks. The journo should be thoroughly ashamed.

anyone read the book, great book, but at the end he dismisses the sex change stories, and even his taekwondo instructor (??!) says its a load of rubbish....

Millar is out of the country and that , aside from that deliberately unclear photo-fear of being sued suggest it is another false story. Surely time Robert Millar sued as it is not true IMO

Agreed. No - one's business - as usual.
Now, when looking at the link posted, I did notice a suspicious looking bloke caled Camilla on the left hand side of the page...how about some 'honest exposés' on the nation's employees aka the 'royals' Neil Sears...or will your butt start wobbling?

He was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1984

At least one inaccuracy...the 1984 winners were Torvill and Dean. :?

  • Just to contribute to this thread, it says a lot about a newspaper if they are only interested in some rumour about a cyclist and his alleged change of sex instead of his achievements through his career.

I left a nice comment on their reply facility. Doubt if it'll get published, even in an editted form!

  • What a horrible nasty little newspaper.

My rather right wing brother and wife subscribe to this filth. I shall take great pleasure in letting them know what I think of their a*** wipe paper.

Even if it is Millar (and I dont think that picture is conclusive in any way), he should be left to his own devices.

It's in the Scottish Sun too. same rubbish picture.
Surely he cannae let this go on? I know he wants his privacy but FFS!

Even if it's true (and i don't think there's any evidence to support that conjecture) what the eff has it got to do with anything? She'd still beat the crap out every one of us.

Hmmm, I wonder why they haven't published my comment asking if this is news, suggesting they leave him/her alone and instead actually 'reveal' something which is news or of interest.
