It's cos the team has gone carbon neutral.

Presumably the peloton will slow down at the feed zone each day so Levi can hop off and plant a tree.

Basically, the team works out how much carbon dioxide they are emitting into the atmosphere with their team cars, flights etc, and plants trees to offset the emission. The trees absorb the same amount of carbon that the Disco boys use, thus saving the planet.

What with that and Saunier Duval's human rights pledge, cycling is at risk of being labelled a bunch of lily-livered, librul, hippy, commies!

I actually like it a lot. Reminds me a little of the Honda F1 team actually.

Disco are the Man Utd of the peloton

And just as Utd change their kit every few weeks and expect their hordes of fans to stump-up for new jerseys, Disco are doing the same.

You bastard. You made me spill my coffee
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Tosspot greenwash of the highest (ie worst) order.

At our environmental impact survey work at the Tour this weeekend I realised each motorised vehicle in the Tour has a unique, sequential number.

The highest number I saw was 4067

I love the Tour but no planting of trees is going to offset 2.5 million tons of CO2 every year...

And it's got nothing to do with the fact that they are losing Discovery Channel as their main sponsor at the end of the year and maybe they could be courting the co-sponsor AMD who's corporate colour just happens to be that very same shade of GREEN!
