I seem to remember a thread from a few weeks/months back about the Campag Veloce linear pull cantilever brakes and an ebay site selling them (think it might've been a German site selling them in dollars). If I'm not imagining all this can anybody help me out with the details of the ebay site selling them ?? Thanks.

Are you going to use them with ergo levers?
Let me know how they go. I might get some of the Mirage one for my cross build.

I'm going to put them on my Planet X Uncle John crossbike. I'll be using them with the Ultegra STI levers that came fitted to the bike. According to what I've read on the Weight Weenies forum there should be no problem using them with either Ergo's or STI's. I'll keep you posted.

I use these on my cross bike, with Veloce ergo's and no brand cross tops, they work well but it is hard sourcing the BR500 replacement pads.

Scuse my ignorance, but what's a "cross top"?

I'd definitely like to run with the Veloces on the Carpe Diem I'm building..if they work!

I'm probably going to buy the brakes from Bike24. They also do the replacement brake pads, BR-VL500, so I think I'll get a set if they are difficult to source in the UK. Thanks for the warning :D

    I started the original thread.

I bought them from Paul Hewitts for £40

They have been on the bike about a month and I have ridden in all weathers and they are superb.

I use them with 105 sti's and no travel agent thing.

I ride nearly everyday and they have not needed adjusting.

Cross tops sit on the top of your bars between the ergos and the stem, they allow you to drop back further over the saddle and sit upright in traffic.

    Ah..gotcha.

Seems like a pair of Veloce Vs are where it's at. Better order before they sell out!
