been a while since i last posted have been away from the mountains and sold my pride and joy top sepc beastie.. i am now firmly in the 'family riding' camp and need some advice from anybody who commutes or rides these 'city' bikes i am seeing everywhere..
Just been on holiday to Italy and rented a bike for a few days an i was inpressed with the road tyres and the general geometry of the ride, so at home i'm gonna invest in a new bike once again and need alittle advice..

as well as a claud butler urban and some ridgeback models.. too many to chose from.
I will be riding cycle paths, light trails, no mud, hence the skinnys tyres appealing to me, wasting enery with big fat mud tyres on..
i know nothing about lower end bikes! dont want disc brake at sub 4/500 price so v brakes will be fine... anyone got any pointers or recommendations for me..?
cheers all
