What time will be needed to win the TdF Prologue??
I'm new to these things. Tomorrow's TdF prologue is essentially a Time Trial isn't it?
So what time will Wiggins or Millar be after to have a chance of winning?
Also what determinesthe order of riding off?? Is it like pole position in Grand Prix? Fastest in practice (in TdF) goes last. Or is it favourite goes last? Must be an advantage to ride last?? :?: :?:

About 9 mins. They will be hoping to average about 55km/h
They generally leave the favourites till later on but traditionally the previous years winner goes down the ramp last. Oscar Periero is off last this year.0 -
I'd reckon on about 8mins 30secs based on covering the 7.9km at 55kph (35mph).
The start order is decided by the Tour organisers - basically they send the hot favourites for the overall and prologue towards the end of the field. They don't have "qualifying" for the prologue.0 -
