I already have an ipod (so obviously have itunes loaded onto my computer). Now my dad is saying he wants one too, and I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have to different peoples' itunes loaded onto one computer?

  • I *think* that each user on XP can have a different itunes library. So if you are using windows XP and you and your dad are using different log-on user accounts then you should be fine.

I'm not sure though. give it a try.

Gave up with itunes long ago after it wiped my ipod one too many times

Now use winamp, find it much easier to use for what I want and it hasn't wiped my ipod yet.

No problem having multiple ipods on one pc, do a search on google plenty of guides out there, never tried it myself

as long as you both turn off the auotmatically update bit, you'll both be fine, we run 3 ipods off one computer here at home.

It'd be apple, surely, and they designed it for it.

Yeah, they're fine with one library per user account. I know people with multiple iPods on the same user account, too.
