Hi all.
Had my bike for a short while now and have recently bought a shock pump.
My forks are: Front - Fox Float RL 130mm travel
Rear - Fox Float RPL
I am around 14-15 st. I was wondering what pressures you guys were using and if you could advise. Ideally i'd like to set it to a happy medium, definatly not too far one way or the other.
Any input is welcomed, this thread could be a long one with members stating:
-Weight
-Fork brand
-Pressures front-rear
-Use of bike
:P
Regards in advance

Nice idea is good but worthless.
there are too many variables.
the only way to correctly set air shocks/forks is add air untill the sag is as recomended/required.
some bike makers have decided to provide some figures as a guideline as they know what the leverage ratios are.
RS give some ideas on their forks and generally they are too high. Marz's are well Italian. It depends on how you read it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks Nick,
I looked on the Fox website and found what you mentioned there "sag"
Sorry for my ignorance, im new to suspension
So it seems that on fox forks; as long as the "sag" is around 25% of the shock length then its ok.

Leon correct but not just fox. any AIR sprung fork/shock. Please note i am not talking about any air pressure in the threshold shocks eg the spv chamber on manitous products."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Set it up with the reccomended sag, once you have ridden it you will know if you want it stiifer or softer so adjust it to preference.0
