Is it possible to lookup a row in a table by matching the data in two columns?
For instance in a table A1:E20 finding the row that has value "x" in column A and the value nearest to (but not necessarily equal to) "y" in column B. An then returning the value in the same row but column E.
I have tried everyway that i can think of but have not yet managed it.
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Never tried it but would probably resort to VBA (macros in Excel) to do something like that.
The alternative (again not tried, but I've seen once before) was something like a nested vlookup & hlookup combined...There is no secret ingredient...0 -
email it to me and i'll do it for you by vba.0

I've done two matching values by using nested vlookup<center>
