Well, just got my pair of Hope Pro IIs and DT Swiss 5.1 rims wheel builds from CRC.
Very quick build from order to my door in 3 days
Got to say I'm impressed, oh and the cassette is SRAM PG990, looks sweet on the red hub,
Weight for those interested:
Rear is 1320g (with cassette)
Front 842g 20mm bolt through.
Remember these are not XC wheels but all mountain so, a little heavier than XC, still good at those weights. Tubes and tires excluded. Got some light Panaracer MX Pro folding for when it gets a little drier. Should be under 3kg rolling wheels

On first inspection the Hope hub does not pick anywhere near as quick as my CK, then again it's half the price!

Going to thrash em round Wharncliffe this Sat, we'll see how they go.

Anyone else using the same build??

I thought about the 6.1s but wanted to keep the weight down as they're going on my s-works enduro. I'm running CK with XM321s on my Scott Nitrous for bigger stuff, not too bothered about weight on that bike.

How do you find the pick-up on the Hopes? Feels quite a bit looser than the CKs

i have hope hoops on the Meta 5. Hope pro 2's and DT 4.1. I've done some small jumps and ragged em down Dalby and its rocky sections and they seem ok. I'm just under 12 stone. The hope's have a slower pick up than the CK. Somet to do with the engagement points and pawls etc thingy bits. Thats why the Hope's sound like fishing reels and the CK like bees

Hope fully might see you tommorow

I hape Pro2 of xc717 anbd DT revolution spokes. Very light and nice anddespite my 14 stone and a tendancy to get airbourne and ride sdown stairs a lot they have stayed true since I built them, but I do run >40 psi in the Cinders which helps a lot

Love the noise the Hopes make as they scatter ramblers well in advance of my arrival
Marin Mount Vision 2005. Fox RL100/RP3. Hope Pro 2/Mavic XC717/DT rev. Cinders 2.1, XTR, Lots of bling

Cervelo S3 2011. Mavic Cosmic Carbonne SLE. RED. Q-rings, lots of bling and very light!
