I have some '04 DJ3s, and when i first got them I had the travel changed from 100 to 130mm, and now due to changes in what i ride i want them back to 100mm. Last time i got a store to do this and they charged me £90 or something ridiculous, the manual doesnt say how to do it, and there are no guides anywhere (afaik). does anyone know how to do it? is there a guide anythwhere?

thanks in advance

If they were 100mm before it shouldn't be difficult. There's usually a spacer inside each side of the fork that goes either on the side of the negative spring(100) or the normal spring(130). If that's all they did at the store, than you've been stolen.

I doubt they just moved a spacer for the 90 quid because the spaces are there to decrease the amount of travel so the probebly had to put new longer damping rods in but i'm not sure if this is correct.

Provided there wasnt a kit with longer springs/different spacers etc in you'll be able to change it back. i *think* the marzocchi website has info on changing travel lengths on forks.
