No, i did, reduced cooking times and reduced temperature.
It came out fine.

Try this.
six and six and six and three.
6 oz plain flour
6 oz sugar
6 oz marg / butter
3 eggs.
mix
hot oven 180 degrees.
split mix into two greased 8" cake tins
bake for 20 minuets until slighty risen and brown.
cool.
spread with jam and cream.
dust with fairy dust
serve.
25 minuet victoria sandwich...DONE!
If you cant get that right, you or your oven is shafted.
