As the title said, how do i do such thing?
Got an old (80s) road bike that needs new brakes, but I doubt modern calipers are gonna reach far enough.

Measure from the hole in the crown to the braking surface, centre to centre. Most modern brakes are around 45-50mm drop, with about 15mm adjustment either way.0

So if the measurement is 58mm, what the hell do i buy?
Modern Sora/Tiagra etc or am i looking at touring calipers like the Diatech 806?Less gears, more beers.0 -
Sora/Tiagra won't fit, because they have a drop of 49mm.
You may get away with a 57mm drop, like these: http://www.parker-international.co.uk/P ... 5c3961a7860 -
