Being that the last thread has gone walk-about, here's another one.

Me - Dax - I'll be hitting those trails - I'll be on my S-works Enduro (with new wheels now)
Supersonic - trying to make it. On Zaskar or Ruckus
Richfergy - up for it... New bike! time to baptise in mud...
GYP -

others??

Usually a few regulars in the woods, so could be a good day out.

I will endeavour to be there. I have been catagorised as a 3K bike Mid life crisis beer belly brigade member in the General forum ( Met parachute ). I feel crushed and it may take me some time to recover

Where are you meeting in the top car park or down by the horse stables?

I won't be joining you but how do you get there? I live in Chesterfield and it is quite close been trying to get directions to car parking but am struggling.
If every action has an equal and opposite reaction does that mean I will be eaten by a fly?

    LOL. more beer then?

Not sure where the hourse stables are. Recently been parking next to the pub on station lane. Always good to ride downhill when knackered. :?

For lovewales, there is a map on my site which shows you how to get there. Easy from Chesterfield, just up the road from me.

Up t'M1, avoid exploding dams and sudden lakes, turn left, aim at Grenoside...

    Or follow the instructions here:

Stables are at the bottom of the valley. The bit where you go over the crazy rock gardens near the scary ridge where the pylons are. If you follow that down where the small lake pond thing is. There is a car park where the penine trail interesects. We used to park there.

Otherwise we have parked up in the main carpark where the forest roads start.

    Don't know it.
Only ever used the top car park and outside the pub (railway track entrance, up the main rd and turn left from the pub)
If you go to my photo album and look at maps you can see where the pub is and entrance to the woods

You'll have to show me where this other carpark is via the rock garden,

It is the maddest rock garden ever with sheer drops on the left of you.Went up there once in the mad wind and the bike was blowing everywhere. All in the pursuit of a buzz.... Won't do much for the cranks etc Very very technical.

Do you dare to ride it :D

I have slow days too. No problems. Good mix of things to ride i thought and a good workout. My knees are aching a bit today and arms. Must have been hanging on down the Black DH stuff

Sorry for dragging you round the far XC areas Dave  Still the crags were a good test
